The Smoke-free (Signs) Regulations 2012 state that at least one legible no smoking sign is displayed in smoke free premises.
The Northern Ireland Smoking Order means that you must display signs at each public entrance to any work or public space. No smoking signs should also be displayed in public and business vehicles. Bedrooms in hotels, care homes and prisons are exempt.
Signs should be positioned and designed in accordance with BS EN ISO 722 to ensure maximum levels of comprehension.
